Windows Update and XP 64 bit edition

Every time I try to access Windows Update, it tells me I must be logged on as
administrator, but I am!!! I have tried logging on with alternate
credentials and using the administrator password as suggested on the site,
creating a new profile, even setting permissions. Nothing works. Some
please help!!!!!

You should take this to the 64 bit newsgroups:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/64bit/x64/trial/support.mspx
But since the 64 bit is beta, I do not think there is Windows Update
support.
