After uninstalling PCAnyWhere v.10 and rebooting XP Pro OS
now receiving a message that windows could not start
becuase the following file is either missing or corrupt...
\windows\system32\config\system ...and to use the repair
option on the system disk. Attempted to do this with no
success. Additional Question: Can this file be transfered
from another sytem?
 
No, the System file (Registry Hive) is specific to your machine.

A "Repair" install is probably your only solution.
