Windows Switcher no longer is doing 3D view, just old xp style

Tristan

Hi,

When I click on the Windows Switcher icon on the quick access bar it just
display like the old xp style, nothing has changed as far as I know. I'm
running a brand new fast DELL deminsion 9200 which is designed to be fine
for Vista.

Any ideas how I can fix it?
Wanted to demonstrate this new 3D view to a client.

Thanks

You need to be running the Windows Vista Aero Glass theme. To make sure you
are running it, right click the desktop > Personalize > Windows Color and
Appearances > select Windows Aero from the themes list if its available. If
its not listed, it either means, your card is not supported or does not have
a WDDM driver installed.

Windows AERO Glass requires that you have a minimum of 64 MBs video RAM that
is Direct X 9 compliant and supports the Windows Display Driver Model
(WDDM), formerly (LDDM). If your video card does not meet these
requirements, it's the likely cause why you are not seeing it. For
onboard/integrated cards, you need to have 1 GB of dual channel memory
installed with 512 MBs of RAM allocated to the system. The amount of Video
RAM also determines the resolution size your Display can use.
