Windows switcher and transparent frames disappeared

Hello,

I bought a new laptop with Vista included a week ago.

I must have done something wrong but my windows 3d switcher does not work
anymore, and my frames are nolonger transparent. Can someone tell me how I
can get them back to work? I am bad at informatics and I loved these...

Please help.
