windows start up

I had to restore my computer to an earlier state and now every time I start
up my computer it brings up a screen that auto selects install windows xp and
if I don't catch it in time it auto selects for setup to run. How do I get
windows xp to auto start like it used to.Turn on computer - windows xp starts.

Can you describe the method that you used to restore your system. Was it with System Restore or did you use your install disk to install over the top

We've all left the cd-rom in the drive before, so yes check that. If not,
check the boot.ini file for any references to Setup - delete if found.
