I know this has been asked before - But is there anyway that I can finally,
and for good, get the settings to work that will mean that window sizes do
not keep changing?

For example - When I start the file explorer or recycle bin, the window size
and position changes every time, despite resizing and positioning and
closing with "file/exit". It is really annoying.

Is there a fix that will sort this permanently?

Help appreciated.

There may or may not be a Registry fix, but, other than that, the consensus
seems to be that holding down "Ctrl" while closing the window should allow
XP to remember the window parameters.
