Hi,

I'm having this problem. Earlier last month I packed up my computer to
move it to a different room. Well, it turns out it has been about 2
weeks since it's been unplugged, and I just hooked it all back up.
Seemingly, there was no problems, but after I logged in, I wanted to
use the start menu. When I clicked the start button, my computer shut
off. I turned it back on, and tried again--same thing. I can see the
blue mouse highlight select the 'Turn off computer' button, but it
doesn't prompt me to Restart,Stand By, etc.

Seems like malicious code...any ideas?

Thanks!

I would disable "Automatically restart" to see if you can get more
information about what is causing the error.

Right-click My Computer, then select Properties
(or select SYSTEM in the Control Panel)
Select the Advanced tab
Click Settings button for "Startup and Recovery"
Uncheck "Automatically restart"
