Hello everyone,

I am wondering if someone out there can help me solve this problem that
I having. I am trying to set up Group Policy to deploy Windows XP
Service Pack 2 as explained in the article:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/deploy/gpdepsp2.mspx

The 5th step in this article states to "Run the administrative
installation to copy the files to the distribution point." by using

msiexec /a \\servername\sharedfolder\update.msi

When I execute this command I get the following error:

"The installation package could not be opened. Contact the application
vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer application."

Since this was created by Microsoft, I am sure that it is valid. I have
tried downloading another copy of SP2 and I still get this error. Does
anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening?
