Windows Service Monitor

I'm looking for an alternative freeware program to CobShield:
http://www.educ.umu.se/~cobian/cobshield.htm

CobShield does a fine job of monitoring the services, but the email
notification doesn't seem to work (or, at least I couldn't get it to). I
would like to have the program email me when a service stops.

Anyone have experience with PC INSPECTOR fs guard or other recommendations?

BTW, Cobian Backup 6 was recently released:

We use Healthmonitor for services monitoring and other monitoring
parameters. Works great. Notifications can be sent through email, SMS, net
send and more (including a scripted solution).

Hello!

Just out of curiosity, do you get some error on the log file? Does the
SMTP server rejects the mail?

I don't see any indication it even tried to send the email in the logs.
I'm now seeing the same thing with fs guard, i.e., the service gets
restarted when I stop it, but I never receive an email. I've quadruple
checked the SMTP settings in both programs.
