Why, when trying to send a message with Windows Mail, would one get a Windows
Security window stating "Windows Security LOG ON to Windows Live E-Mail
Server" and then it asks for your login information?

But Windows Live Mail is not installed, only Windows Mail. That's why I came
to this forum. Why would this Windows Live Mail window appear when it isn't
even installed?

I never heard of such a thing.
I wonder if it is some sort of Trojan or keylogger malware.
Have you done a scan of your hard drive with your antivirus?
