windows security blocking an attachment

Windows security is blocking an email attachment that I need to open. It is a
safe file, how do I bypass this. I have checked the help file, it says to
save to computer etc and unblock etc, but it won't even let me save it.
Please help asap

What email program? If OE, go to Tools>Options and then (I believe)
Security. There is an option to disallow saving attachments, showing
pictures, etc. Clear the checkbox. Sorry not to give you more precise
instructions but I don't use OE and you won't have any trouble finding
the option.

If you don't have OE, then look for something similar in whatever email
program you are using.

Outlook Express unfortunately. Sorry for my ignorance I am new to asking on
here. It is an mpeg file also.

Without knowing the exact text of the message you are seeing, and how
you are trying to open the attachment, it's not possible to say where
the message is coming from or how to overcome it.

Speaking generically, Tools > Options > Security has a setting which you
may remove: Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could
potentially be a virus.

When posting a question to this newsgroup, it's important to describe
your situation as specifically as possible.
