Windows Scheduler to trigger import macro

Andy

I have a macro that will trigger a .txt file import process which works fine.
It doesn't seem to work assigning a scheduled windows task to a shortcut of
this macro however.

Is this a known problem? The macro is also set to close the database and
compact it and I seem to remember reading that the close function couldn't be
used within a scheduled macro.

Is there anyway around this please as I spend 3 hours a day importing a
500MB file which could start at 4am.... (I can't change the .txt file in
anyway).

Cheers

Andy,

You would need to assign the Windows Schedule to open Access and then have
something within Access that triggers the macro. As for the closing, I know
it can be done VBA so what function are you using in the macro? Quit or
Close?
