Need to look a little harder for that CD as the files are on it (there are
several HAL files available). Your system's hardware configuration
determines which one will be installed.

May want to try to start in Safe Mode to be sure that there isn't another
problem (error in boot.ini file for example):

If your XP CD was shipped by the system manufacturer, contact the OEM for a
