windows restore

Eddie G

I had a corrupt registry and had to go through the registry repair process
( http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=307545). Part Four tells how to
restore to a previous restore point. I have chosen a few restore points,
but after my system boots up I get a message that the system was unable to
restore from either of them. Everything is working fine now, though. How
important is this last step?

Thanks!!

Hi Eddie,

Whatever corrupted the registry may have corrupted the functioning of
System Restore or a restore point itself.

The quick way to correct this is to delete all existing restore points
by disabling System Restore then enabling it. Upon enabling SR one new
restore point will be created.
