Hi!

I have activated Windows XP but did not register it. Is there any way to
register Windows after activation? How can I do that? Thanks in advance!

so you want to register for spam, sales, etc..... if your machine gets
stolen, the registration won't help you. basically, whom ever holds the
windows cd and the product key, legally or illegally, microsoft won't care
when it comes to reactivating the software. the only time that activation
will not work is if the windows cd belongs to a business that have purchased
a number of licenses.... but you can probably get your answer from
www.microsoft.com

Registration is *always* optional, provides very little benefit to
owners of retail licenses, and no benefit to owners of OEM licenses, so
you needn't worry about it.

However, if you still wish to register, simply click Start > Run >
regwiz /r.

If you don't know that answer, and don't even have a relevant comment
or observation, why bother posting a non-answer?

registering is optional.... if there was some benefit to registering, like
ensuring the registered operating system was traciable in the event the
computer or laptop was stolen, then registering would be highly advisiable.
and though this concept could be practiced by Microsoft, it is not and
providing additional information should be evaluated for the benefits and not
because it is conveniently asked for..... teaching someone how to register
is only one aspect of helping with the problem...
