Hi

I have new Pc with OEM Windows Xp Home . I did register and activate Xp when
I got the Pc . Activation was accepted . 3 months later I was locked out of
my computer - windows not activated it stated . I eventually got it
reactivated ( 8 hours on the phone ) , and a new Id was issued . I have
noticed in my Event viewer that a warning is present that states windows is
NOT activated ( it is - according to the activation wizard ) ..... The
initial problem occured on Jan 03/05 . Does this mean that I will locked out
again in 30 days ? ( the first warning is dated Jan 06/05 ? ) URRG ~! How
can I fix this ? The computer is new , and Windows came pre-loaded from a
reputable company - ( so its genuine ) . I am so frustrated by this !~

Try this fix. Boot the computer into Safe Mode and then use Start-
Run and enter the following text in the dialog box:
regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll

Then do it again with the following text:
regsvr32.exe licdll.dll

If that does not clear up the problem then you should contact the tech
support dept of the company that you purchases the computer from. It
is their responsibility to provide tech support for the OEM software
that they sell.

Good luck
