Windows XP log in windows2000 Active Directory:

I have a Windows2000 Active directory with Windows XP
professional workstations.
If the user log in the W2k Active Directory with the
rooming profiles then take very long time to login to the
AD without rooming profiles than take a normal time?

How big are the profiles? Keep them about 10MB or under and you shouldn't
see this problem (providing you don't have networking issues, and have
locked all NICs and switch ports down at a specific speed/duplex setting
rather than using autosense). Don't let people store things on the desktop,
and redirect My Documents to the user's home directory.
