Windows problem

I am unable to right click anything and none of my drop
down menus work. When I type on Word, the drop down menus
just appear for no reason and some of the letters don't
type at all. This problem seemed to start when I installed
Microsoft Word 97. Could Word 97 not be compatable with
Windows XP?

I also had the Worm/MyDoom.F virus, so I ran my anti-virus
and got rid of the virus, but I still have the problem.

I don't know if the virus was the problem or installing
Word caused the problem.

Any suggestions?
