Hello,

I need a bootable anti-virus because my win xp machine starts loading my
personal settings but then it just logs off and turns off my machine. Do you
know what the virus is? Or do you know a good bootable anti-virus program
that will work?

Unlikely that is a virus. More likely a corrupt profile.
Tried logging in with another user account? (Like the built in
administrator...)
Safe Mode?

If you think you have a virus, there are anti virus News Groups specifically for this type
of discussion.

microsoft.public.security.virus
alt.comp.virus
alt.comp.anti-virus

However, you haven't provided a symptom of a vius. This may be just a corrupted user
Registry.

Can you login a a different user ?
Can you login in Safe Mode ?

You cannot log on to Windows XP after you remove Wsaupdater.exe

--or--

The problem may be an incorrect system drive letter. With a networked
machine, open the registry and connect to the problematic machine and
navigate to:

[MACHINE_NAME\HKLM\SYSTEM\MountedDevices]

and delete all values that look like this:

\DosDevices\C
\DosDevices\D
\DosDevices\E
and so on

When finished, make sure you disconnect the machine from the registry. There
are other ways to gain access to the registry if you cannot connect to the
problematic machine via networked Registry. Please let me know if you need
information on how to gain access to the Registry if you cannot by a
networked registry.
