Windows Performance Index doesn't update - new hardware detected

An exclamation point shows in the Welcome center that says 'new hardware
detected'. If you refresh the performance index (which says unrratted, need
to update), it does not update, nothing changes even though the indexing
executes successfully. Also there is no new hardware.
 
nvidia beta video drivers is culprit.
