Hi Guys.. Help!

How can I remove a windows password, if, the admin account is the only
account and someone has set the password, then forgotten it, without setting
up the password reset disk.

And by the way MICROSOFT if I cant get into the system how can I give you
the PID.... DER! Useless Fools!

Anyway gang its a business machine and cannot be just wiped down!

google for it...

and I doubt that Microsoft is getting your message by posting it here and
calling them names, do you really think that helps ?
after all... who changed the password of your administrator account ?

alternatively, you can take the hard disk out, put it in another machine,
assume ownership of the files you need, back those up.
then put the HD back in the original machine and install fresh copy of
Windows.

I rather doubt that there is only one account, there is most likely at
least 2 accounts, the built-in Administrator account and another user
account with administrative privileges. That is usually the way it
unfolds when you install Windows XP. The simple fact is that if you
forgot your password(s) and had no reset disk your options are limited,
you will have to use a password reset utility or remotely delete a
certain registry key to access the Windows installation again.

Ignoring the gratuitous insult (and this isn't Microsoft to whom you're
speaking, Fool:

In XP Home, boot the computer into Safe Mode. Do this by repeatedly
tapping the F8 key as the computer is starting up. This will get you to
the right menu. Navigate using your Up arrow key; the mouse will not
work here. Once in Safe Mode, you will see the normally hidden
Administrator account. The default password is a blank.

In XP Pro, you do not need to go into Safe Mode. At the Welcome Screen,
do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in
"Administrator" and whatever password you assigned when you set up
Windows.

If you reset the built-in Administrator account's password in Home or
have Pro and don't remember the password, use NTpasswd to change the
built-in Administrator account's password to a blank.

Then go to the User Accounts applet in Control Panel and set passwords
that you will remember and make other desired changes.

Simply log in using the built-in Administrator account (which
cannot be deleted) and modify the desired account(s) and use Start > Run
"control userpasswords2" to modify the desired account(s). By
design, the only way to log into the Administrator account of WinXP Home
is to reboot into Safe Mode. For WinXP Pro, pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL twice
at the Welcome Screen will produce the standard login dialog box.

Failing that, Linux-based password cracking utilities abound on the
Internet, freely available to anyone who can use Google.
