After getting a hub, network cards and cables all you need to really do is
1 - make sure you are running compatible protocols (e.g. TCPIP)
2 - make sure the workgroup settings for each machine are the same (e.g.
WORKGROUP or MSHOME)
3 - make sure you have a user name and passwords are the same on each
machine.
