Windows NT/2000/XP logon window

I have searched but have not found how to clear the last
user name from the login window.
Thanks in advance for pointing me to the knowledge base.
 
If you are not speaking of XP Home, then go into
the local security policy, under computer config
drill into the security settings/options and find the
policy to "do not display last logon user name"
