windows not opening in full size

How can i get windows to automatically open in full size. Whenever I open a
window, such as this one for example it opens in half size, it is very
annoying having to click the maximise button everytime

Drag the window to the size that you want it - do not use Maximize - then
close that window via File>Close/Exit.

I've found it works with the majority of windows. Some execptions are 3rd
party programs.
