Windows/msn messenger no audio

Hi, i'm trying to use msn messenger 6.2 and i cannot have any audio conversation, i can however have a webcam conversation with no audio. I tried the windows version and i have the same problem. I have tried the audio wizard and my speakers and microphone work fine. i am very puzzled, it was fine before so now suddenly i can;t seems to have audio conversation. Maybe one of you can help me? Thanks

I have precisely the same problem and have even tried Messenger 7
(beta) same problem no audio - This has happened since I and my distant
end changed to Xp professional - another video conference package is
getting close it is sooooo frustrating - excellect video both on
1500/256
