Windows Moving To The Foreground - PLEASE STOP

Does anyone out there have a good hint how to stop different windows
from moving to the foreground automatically?

For example, I may have three or four web pages loading and when one
completes loading it automatically moves to the foreground. I will be
in the middle of reading another page when the darn thing switches to
the page which is loading. I hate this so much but have never come
across a way to stop this. I have tried googling it but can't seem to
enter the right terms to come up with the answer I am looking for. Am
I the only person that this really pisses off? I am more than capable
of switching windows once I am ready and don't need to be reminded
that I clicked on something in another window.

Please, please if you have any hints on how to stop this please let me
know.

TweakUI, part of Powertoys for Windows XP, has a "prevent applications from
stealing focus" option. Powertoys is available at

I've never found this setting to be very reliable. You may be better off
minimizing the window you don't want to see.
