Windows movie maker import problem

When I try to import a .mpg file that I know to be about 20 minutes long
..... the clip I get in WMM is about 6 seconds and no matter what I do I can't
ever get the entire mpeg to display... I tried unchecking the make clips box
in the import dialog box but that didn't make a difference


any ideas would be appreciated
 
Convert it to WMV or AVI first. WMM sometimes has problems with MPEG files.
