Windows Movie Maker and PC video questions: smallest file size forbest quality? How?

Hi there,

I am currently upgraded to Win Movie Maker version 2.0.3246 and it
crashes a whole lot when I try to make movies.

I am using WMM because it will make WMV files which are smaller in size
than my AVI or MPEG (made by TMPeng) versions of the same video, but the
only way I know how is by WMM. I have used version 1 before and it was
pretty stable. How would I go back to version 1 (system restore is not
an option)? Or is there a fix for version 2?

Other than that, if anyone has any idea on how I can get my AVI's (I
used the DIVX 4 Low Motion codec) any smaller, I've love to hear it.

Thanks!!

Search around in the Windows Media section of microsoft.com and you should
find the Windows Media Encoder which will make WMV's from your existing
AVI/MPEG files and therefore bypassing Windows Movie Maker completely!
