Windows Movie Maker 2.1

I just made a movie on Windows Movie Maker and burned it to a cd-r. I tried
to view the movie on my dvd player that is connected to my tv and the dvd
player states that the disc cannot be read. The dvd player is cd-r/cdrw
compatible. I tried to burn the movie to a cd-rw disc and it just does the
same thing. Why isn't it playing?
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suspect that the wmv file has to be converted to mpeg. wmv is a Microsoft
format so heaven help us if a DVD player supported it.

Actually the format MM uses for burning to cd is HighMat, which isn't
supported by any dvd players at present, there are some which will now do
wmv.
The best thing to do is save the movie file as a dv-avi file and import this
into something like nero/roxio and use this to make your vcd/svcd.
