Windows Movie Maker 2.0 to 2.1?

I have Windows XP SP2, but my version of Movie Maker is 2.0.
How can I upgrade when I already have SP2? Is there anywhere I can get version 2.1 by
itself? Where?
Also....mine hangs! Been to PapaJoes and renamed all the *.ax files. Decreased video
hardware acceleration. It still hangs and my only option is to hit the reset button.
Any other recommendations? OR is there a good video editing program without the MS
problems?

Movie Maker 2.1 is what is included in Windows XP SP2.

on my SP2 disc, it is the file "MOVIEMK.EX_"

i've seen Movie Maker hang when you install some silly "codec pack"

Two possibilities:

1) What can I do if I upgrade to Windows
XP SP2 and Windows Movie Maker 2.1
is not installed successfully?

2) Download and install WinXP SP2:

Download Windows XP SP2

Generally, users install from the net but this
site allows you to download the complete
file to your hard drive before installing.

It's good for a network administrator because
you can burn it on a CD and install it on as
many computers as you need to.

And it's good for a single machine because
if you ever need to install it again...you'll have
it available without waiting for a download.
