windows messenger keeps coming back to the tray at the bottom of screen.
i've unchecked it in system configuration under the startup tab and
services, but it keeps coming back. there is nothing in start up either,
what else do i need to do.

also, what about unchecking all the microsoft services, what ill effect will
this have?

Open Messenger

From the top menu, select Preferences tab, then untick "Run Windows
Messenger when Windows starts"
