Windows messenger vs MSN messenger

I am using Windows Messenger 4.7 come with Windows Xp, should I install MSN
Messenger 6.0 too?

If you'd like -- what Messenger client you use is a matter of personal preference. However,
you can always uninstall MSN Messenger 6 if you don't like it.

Are the new features of msn 6, such as video and new
emoticons compatible with Windows Messenger 4.7? If not,
will they be compatible with 5.0?

if i were you i'd remove 4.7 completely. Try as i might,
i could not figure out how to prevent it from logging on
automatcially

Hi Damon,

The 'Video Conference' feature in MSN Messenger 6 (available only on Windows XP), works with
Windows Messenger (4 or 5), but the 'Webcam' option does not, nor does the "new" emoticons or
custom emoticons.
