Windows Messenger voice conversation doesn't work correctly

Windows Messenger voice conversation doesn't work correctly. I can't
request a voice conversation, but I can accept one from someone else .
.. . worked ok till I installed Norton Anti-Virus 2000.

Has anyone else had this problem . . . or can you make any
suggestions?

I am running Windows Messenger 4.7.2009 on Windows XP home version.

Did you perhaps also install the Norton Internet security package? If so you might have problems with the fact that the firewall is closing the port/s you need. Try disable the Norton firewall and then try again
