windows messenger 5.0 problem

windows messenger says the version is 5.0 but it appears
like an older version. I do not have a display image. I
have tried unistalling and reinstalling with resolving
the problem. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Tks in
advance.
 
If you want a display image you must install MSN Messenger 6.2, this is a
different (but similar) program than Windows Messenger. You can get MSN
Messenger at messenger.msn.com.
