Windows messeneger 6.1

I am currently using messenger 6.1 to video conference
across the internet. My pc uses a satellite connection for
broadband and incorporates a nat router as a firewall on
the providers side. My problem is that I can see the video
with no problems but my audio is non existent. Apparently
it has something to do with the latency being to high and
the audio not being able to syncronise. Does anyone know a
way around this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

| Are you using Windows Messenger or MSN Messenger?

It has to be MSN Messenger if it's version 6.1. The latest incarnation of
Windows Messenger is 5.0.
