windows memory release

When i use photoshop 7.0 or macromedia i have a problem
with the files not releasing out of memory. I can not
remove or change the original files from the folders they
are in, as it states that they are still in use. The
only thing that I can do is restart the computer and then
the memory releases it, or save another file somewhere in
order to make the memory remember this instead....any
help?

That sounds like a bug in the programs you are using. Check with the
program manufacturers web sites and see if they have anything in their
tech support documents about this problem.
