Windows Media Player

MY question probably has a simple solution, but I am very new at this. Why
can't I see the movie clip (mpeg format) on the monitor of Windows Media
Player. I made sure that WMP accepts all file types but I still cant't see
it. I was able to create a Library list with all my clips but when I double
click it nothing is visible or audible. And...it says "now playing" any
advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Probably best asked in the media player newsgroup. This one is for Movie
Maker.
Info they'll need:
There are several types of mpeg file, what sort is yours?
What version of windows?
Which version of media player?
Do the files play in another media player?

HOme edition 2002.
Windows Media Player 11
and yes, I can see my clips on Real Player.
