Windows Media Player

I recently installed a creative player onto my computer. And now when ever I
open a music or video file it defaults to the creative player- I want it to
default to the windows media player... is there a way to change this setting?
(i no longer have the creative player and have uninstalled it from the
computer... therefore now it tries to open with an application that is no
longer there!)

Open Media Player and look in Tools>Options and set the file
associations accordingly.

...or right click any music file, select "open with", select the correct
program (wmp), and place a check mark below where it says open all files of
this type with this program.

One thing to note is that the next time you open the Creative player, it
will reset the file associations back to it. You will need to go into the
Creative player's file association options and unselect any file type you
don't want it to open for.

I cannot find anything on creative's site, so you might want to check the
creative player's help files if you are not able to find the file
association option easily.

Hope this helps! :)
