windows media player wont work anymore

i try to listen to songs but now when i click on the icon
its doesnt go into the program, it only makes a noise. and
trying to play cds now doesnt work/

I had this problem not long ago, think it was my son dowloading music that mucked up the media player, he got a virus then media player wouldnt open up, i used system restore to go back 1 day as it worked fine the day before , and that got it going, had to do the same two weeks later when he did it again !! hope it solves your problem
