Media Player at startup

Dont know why, but all of a sudden Windows Media Player
comes up when I boot the computer. (Never did this before)
But it doesnt work (never did this before either).
I have my sounds on the computer, but Media Player wont
play them (when I open Media Player>Files>Open>Media>and
pick a sound)
Media Player also wont play music CDs anymore.I have to
use RealOne Player for this.
Also.. (sigh) I get an error message up at startup -
Something about 'hole'....? Needs to close, all work not
saved will be lost.

I have no idea what 'hole' is or how to fix it. Any ideas??

Not without seeing the exact error message. Try and write it down and
re-post.

Kris;
Did you just update WMP? Start/Programs (or All Programs)/Startup/find WMP/right
click/Delete/Delete shortcut? Yes.
Open WMP/Tools/Options/File Types tab/look at what is NOT checked.
RealOne Player may be set as the default player. I do not use the spyware laden piece
of mung, so this is a guess, look for an option to change it from being the default
player.
Don't know anything about hole.
