windows media player will not open

i try to open media player but nothing happens....what options do i have. i
also deleted activex.I tried to download it again.... but when i done
downloaded it nothing happens. HELP!

I find my WMP icon opens at bottom of the screen and can hear the sound, but
the picture is off-screen and can't be retrieved!
Re-installing didnt help the problem. Sam

Go to>start>my computer>c:\program files>windows media
player>wmplayer.exe right-click "make shortcut", copy & paste shortcut
to desktop.

It happens with any file that i try to play on WMP.

I am having somewhat same problem. After I downloaded ReaPlayermy WMP icon
disappeared from the options window when atarting a CD, music, pictures etc.
Plus I can't figure out how to open the player. I did as you suggested below
but do not have a <wmplayer.exe> folder or file in the WMP program files?
I insert a music CD and the WMP opens and starts playing it? I used to have
an icon in the left side of my task bar, in the past, but it is gone and I
have none on my desktop?
