I just downloaded this newer player and it hasn't worked
for me. My old version worked fine (don't remember what
one it was), but on this one I can't access the media
guide. I get the screen where there's the link at the
bottom to connect the player, but when I click that it
brings up an error that says:
An error has occured on the script of this page
Line:1
Char:1
Error:Object doesn't support this property or method.
Code:0
URL: res://wmploc.dll/Offline_MediaGuide.htm

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
I click the yes button but nothing happens. I have norton
security but the firewall is set to let it go through.
Also, when I accessed windowsmedia.com through my web
browser, I tried to play the songs but the player said
that-"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file
is either corrupt or the Player does not support the
format you are trying to play." In the file format it's
checked off to play .wma's, and on my old version it
worked fine. It can play the songs that are saved to my
computer, but not the songs from windowsmedia or anywhere
else. Can you help me with this? Thanks

I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH IT ALSO BUT JUST WITH THE
CONVERSION PART CONVERTING MP3 MUSIC TO WINDOWS/WAVE
MUSIC... THERE IS NO UNINSTALL ADD/REMOVE FOR IT BUT I'VE
BEEN TOLD YOU CAN GO BACK TO A RESTORE POIT BEFORE YOU
INSTALLED IT AND WOULD GO BACK TO FORMER WINDOWS MEDIA
PLAYER...I DON'T KNOW IF THATS TRUE OR NOT?....

Why are you converting MP3's to WAV format? Wave files
are from 5 to 10 times larger than MP3 or WMA format.
MP3s are compressed and take a lot less space on CDs.
