windows media player 9 for xp Help Me!!!!!

Hello,

I have emachines primary and slave drives, never any
problems until I installed windows media player 9 and now
it causes my system to freeze/hang for long periods of
time. The worst is that it has caused a problem with the
slave drive, sometimes the drive will disappear and
sometimes it will give me a error regarding data being
lost and not being able to save it, like songs and other
data files.....

please help!!
