Windows Media Player 11 won't work anymore

Greetings,

Using WinXP SP2, WMP 11 won't work anymore. When I double-click on an MP3
file nothing happens at all. No error msg no nothing. I rebooted. No
luck. I've uninstalled and reinstalled version 11 but no luck. I went back
to version 10 no luck either.

I also did a system restore to a month ago and reinstalling WMP 11 but
didn't work anyway.

Any idea?

If you can find it anywhere, try Windows Media Player 9. For some reason, more things like 9 than like 10 or 11.
