windows me to windows xp

have a disc of word from ME and now trying to load on an
XP operating system machine. It won't read the disc. any
ideas? thanks

I think what he's trying to impart to us (though his question is indistinct)
is that he has Word, which came with his computer, upon which was installed
the ME operating system, that he's attempting to install under XP and can't.
Methinks it came on a recovery disc and he's trying to extract it. It's pure
conjecture, but it's a thought.
