Windows Mail

I get a substansial amount of mail due to running 2 websites at the moment.
I tried out the Beta version of Win Mail and binned it due to being unable
to link embedded links in the mails.

Having bought Vista I was of the belief that all this had been squared
away.!!!
However it stops after about 3 minutes and I cannot delete/move/send mails
after this period of time.
If I switch to another folder then it states hw many mails are in each
folder but if I open them there is nothing to view.

Does Windows ID need to be running? and or is it because when on a website
it asociated it's self with thw site and the sending of mail via Win Mail
oppossed to sending it through the site?

Can I re-install Win mail from windows home page? as it came pre-installed
and was not an up grade?

I don't know what you mean by "Windows ID" or "windows home page."

Windows Mail cannot be reinstalled, you would have to reinstall
Vista. One workaround is to upgrade to Windows Live Mail,
which is a more fully-featured mail program:
http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas

Much of the problems with Windows Mail can be attributed to using
a non-compatible antivirus. Windows Mail is not compatible with
most McAfee or Norton security programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see

It may not solve all your mail problems, but it is a necessary prerequisite.
Come back when you need additional help.
