Windows mail is useless to me and anyoen who has more than rediculaously
small number of freinds in the contact list.

I began using it because it came with the opperating sytem and expected it
to work at least as well as all of the older outlook express versions.

After usig it a few weeks I decided to add my contact list from my previous
computer.

I then had to wait MINUTES to reply to a message.

Microsoft engineers decided to go back to storing data in individual XML
text files. Storing data in individual text files was known to be the most
inefficient means to store data when i the first IBM PC arrived on the market
in about 1982 and was outdated at that time.

Why would microsoft through away 50 years of technological advances to serve
up a useless applciation like this, that goes back to the earliest days of
computing when they loaded programs on punched cards. If one uses it for a
larger group of people than their family and most intimate friends it does
notwork.

There is NO reason for such stupidity - if i buy technolgie in 2007 i expect
it will not degrade my performance with stuff that never had a cahnce of
working.

the old contact system worked at least - :(

Apparently the spell check doesn't work, either.

ya = i am handicapped using exploer
firefox gives me a spell checker -

but shooting the messenger make little sense

My spell check works just fine.
I was trying to point out the irony to the OP who was complaining about WM
being useless, and posting via the web interface with a lot of spelling
errors that WM would have caught.
