Hi, my mother has has been using WM to access her sky mail account without
any issues, then all of a sudden its stopped working due to password
authentication, the error is "Your IMP server wishes to alert you to the
following: Web login required (failure)"

I've tried removing the account & reinstalling etc, bt nothing works. The
log in details are all valid (logged in online to sky) so no idea at this
point what the issue is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you called the ISP to see if they can assist? Sometimes accounts
become "locked" either intentionally or by accident.

Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

If turning off the email scanning function does not resolve your problem,
consider upgrading to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to
suffering bad effects from overly aggressive antivirus programs.
