Windows Mail Sever Problems

When I try and send mail I have a window that opens saying; Your SMTP sever
has not responded in 60 seconds, would you like to wait another 60 seconds
for the sever to respond.

Sever: SMTP.Charter.net

This has been going for some time.










sometimes if I wait long enough the mail will be sent,but most times it will
not. Please help.
 
The next window that opens reads; Subject, "Account POP3,' Sever;'SMTP.
charter.net,' Protocol: SMTP,Server Responce: 552 message size exceeds fixed
maximum message size: 15728640 bytes; port;25 secure(SSL): No, Server
error:552, Error Number: 0x800CCC6D. The next paragraph reads,


Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes
for this include server problems, network problems, or long periods of
inactivity, subject pictures', Account: POP3',server:
SMTP'.charter.net,'Protocol: SMTP,Port 25, secure (SSL): No,error number
0x800CCC0F Any suggestions?
 
What size is the attachment you are trying to send?
Make sure your antivirus is not configured to scan emails.
Which antivirus are you using?
