windows mail sending problem possible solution for vista basic

go to windows mail-click tools- click accounts-click windows mail default
line-click properties. in general tab type windows mail as name to refer to
server by-click advanced tab. Change server port numbers to: incoming pop3
to 995 and check secure box . Change outgoing smtp number to 465 and check
secure box. click OK after putting in your e-address etc and close accounts
box. This solved my sending problem 100%- Hope it helps someone else as well!
 
Each email provider has their own mail servers and settings.
It is not advisable to try settings not specifically recommended by
your email provider.
